I wanted positivity to stand a change.

While speaking with TOI: “In the world that we live in, negativity spreads faster. I wanted positivity to stand a chance. Bawl is about love versus hatred, empathy against indifference, and fake versus real. There are characters in the film fighting an internal war. How does that get juxtaposed to World War II is what the film is about.

World War II plays a very important role in the movie, and you can not keep the Holocaust away from WW2. It does play a very important role in it.”

The Bawaal movie is all set to release on Prime Video

Bawaal is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language love drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Earthsky Pictures. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor play a dysfunctional married couple in the film. The movie is set to release on July 21.

“I don’t write keeping any actor in mind” - Nitesh Tiwari

Nitesh talks in ways that make sense. Molding the characters is a part of later work when the script is ready to be read by other actors to find the best one to fit into it. Nitesh also explained the rationale behind his selection of Varun and Janvi for the part. “Ajay and Nisha (Varun and Janvi’s characters) needed a certain physicality. And the names that popped into our heads were Varun and Janvi. I wanted Ajju to be flashy and bombastic. He is someone who wants to show off his body in tight shirts and is dominating. Nisha is strong but slightly more vulnerable, and she speaks through her eyes.”

I love writing as I get to create something beautiful and touch others with my words in the process. I love the fact that I can create a whole new world, something no one else has ever seen. Writing helps me to escape reality and create new realities. At times, I also write stuff in those stories that I can never muster the courage to say in real life. It's my safe space. I can write whatever I am feeling and I can let it all out. It's also very therapeutic to me..
