Blink Twice is a 2024 psychological thriller, directed by Zoe Kravitz, written by Zoe Kravitz and ET Feigenbaum, and produced by Bruce Cohen, Tiffany Persons, Garret Levitz, Zoe Kravitz, and Channing Tatum. It starts many familiar actors, such as Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Kyle MacLachlan, Haley Joel Osment, and Genna Davis, as well as Alia Shawkat and Naomi Ackie. It is about a group of people invited to a private island, belonging to a billionaire mogul, and he flies them all there on his private jet.

Saturday, November 23, 2024: I was browsing movies on the indie channels and I noticed the movie, Blink Twice. It got my attention right away because I recently watched a video on YouTube, comparing Diddy parties to the movie, Blink Twice. I decided to watch it at eight.

It stars many familiar actors, such as Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Kyle MacLachlan, Haley Joel Osment, and Geena Davis, as well as Alia Shawkat and Naomi Ackie. It is about a group of people invited to a private island, belonging to a billionaire mogul, and he flies them all there on his private jet.

After watching this movie, I noticed similar scenes about Diddy’s white parties on Youtube. The women on this island are also drugged, but by a perfume gift, as well as liquor so that they forget things and experience amnesia. This island has yellow snakes slithering around, and one of the women gets bitten by one. She starts regaining her memory and wants to return home because she isn’t comfortable on this island. She suddenly goes missing, but only Frida remembers this sudden mysterious disappearance. The other women are in another world. Frida often runs into maintenance workers on the island, but they don’t speak English.

She sees a bottle of snake venom with the female worker, who drinks it daily. The woman shares it with Frida , Frida decides to try it, and her memory returns. She does some investigating on this island and finds disturbing information—red gift bags with the perfume bottle, Polaroid snapshots of the guests on the island, and Polaroid snapshots of men invited on the island to enjoy themselves with these women. She makes Sarah drink from the venom bottle, and they decide to fight back, but still pretend they don’t remember anything. They put some venom in the other women’s liquor to wake them up to what’s really going on.

There are also scenes where women are tied up and gagged, and the men invited on the island are allowed to rape them and do other stuff to them. I also noticed that when they are on this island, they are given white clothes, black sunglasses, and sunhat. It almost looks like a cult.

As all the women get their memory back, the island turns into a bloodbath. The women kill the men to survive and escape. Some of these women are killed in this bloodbath. The villa is accidentally set on fire and burns down. Frida and Sarah escape out of the burning villa, but Frida decides to save the billionaire. The ending has a weird twist, where Frida appears to be married to the billionaire, Slater King. She takes over as the CEO, as they work together in the same company, but Frida drugs her husband to control him, as they continue their business ventures.

In the beginning of the movie, Frida tells her friend that "success is the best revenge." At the end of the movie, Frida appears to have achieved her success, married to a billionaire, being the CEO, and controlling her husband with the amnesia drugs he used on her and other women.

I also feel that this movie is about women power, feminism, women banding together to fight together, MeToo Movement, and women getting even to get their power back.

I love writing as I get to create something beautiful and touch others with my words in the process. I love the fact that I can create a whole new world, something no one else has ever seen. Writing helps me to escape reality and create new realities. At times, I also write stuff in those stories that I can never muster the courage to say in real life. It's my safe space. I can write whatever I am feeling and I can let it all out. It's also very therapeutic to me..
