Gadar (ek prem katha) was set on fire in theaters
“The deletion of some scenes considered objectionable and causing hurt to the sikh community, was, on Tuesday, dismissed in limine by the Punjab and Haryana high courts.” There are many courts, and cases were logged against the movie and the director of the film. Around 15 miscreants allegedly tossed some petrol-filled plastic bottles at the screen, causing it to catch fire and trashing the hall's furniture. Later, two scooters parked outside were set on fire. All of this occurred throughout the night in Ahmedabad's Sarkheja Area.
