Shaitaan movie review: is there still black magic?

After watching Shaitaan, I did expect that the movie could make me hate R Madhavan. I just loved his performance.

Movie review: Shaitaan, a chilling supernatural thriller starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, plunges a family into chaos after a dark encounter.

Experience the gripping fight between good and evil. However, remember that you don’t have kids with you below 7 years that may cause a mental trauma, hate and adaptation of fear for a long term.

Shaitaan: A Thrilling Descent into Darkness (Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan)

Movie review: Shaitaan, a chilling supernatural thriller starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, plunges a family into chaos after a dark encounter.

Shaitaan, a 2024 supernatural thriller, grips audiences with its suspenseful narrative and powerhouse performances by Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan. This Hindi remake of the Gujarati film “Vash” dives into the unsettling world of black magic and its terrifying consequences.

A Family Under Threat

The story revolves around Kabir (Devgn), a happy family man, whose world is turned upside down after a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger, played by Madhavan. This stranger’s presence brings a series of unsettling events, culminating in the possession of Kabir’s young daughter.

Devgn and Madhavan Deliver Stellar Performances

Devgn portrays the desperation of a father fighting to save his family with unwavering conviction. Madhavan is equally captivating as the enigmatic stranger, his chilling performance leaving viewers guessing his true motives.

Thrills and Chills

Shaitaan effectively builds suspense, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The film explores themes of good versus evil, faith versus superstition, all within a chilling atmosphere.

Is it for You?

If you enjoy psychological thrillers with a touch of the supernatural, Shaitaan is definitely worth a watch. However, those sensitive to dark themes or violence might want to proceed with caution, especially for kids.

The Final Verdict

Shaitaan is a well-crafted thriller that delivers a thrilling cinematic experience. The exceptional performances by Devgn and Madhavan, coupled with a suspenseful plot, make this film a must-watch for fans of the genre. I really enjoyed this movie with my family.

I love writing as I get to create something beautiful and touch others with my words in the process. I love the fact that I can create a whole new world, something no one else has ever seen. Writing helps me to escape reality and create new realities. At times, I also write stuff in those stories that I can never muster the courage to say in real life. It's my safe space. I can write whatever I am feeling and I can let it all out. It's also very therapeutic to me..
