Where Olive Trees Weep (2024) is a documentary about Palestinians fighting for freedom and justice for 75 years. Democracy Now’s Amy Goodman interviews two people who appear in this film. Ashira Darwish is a Palestinian Journalist/Therapist and Dr. Gabor Mate is a Hungarian-Canadian Physician as well as an Anti-Zionist Jew and a Holocaust Survivor. They also talk about the loss and trauma that Palestinians have suffered as well as continue to suffer today.

Gabor Mate and Ashira Darwish promote a new documentary about an urgent need to Free Palestine from Zionist Israel

Directed by Zaya and Maurizio Benazzo, this new documentary is being promoted worldwide on many videos. Zaya and Maurizio discuss their documentary by interviewing Ashira Darwish, Alex Kiss, Laura Harvey, Ola Nasser, Suzanne, Cyrus, and Abbas. They discuss Palestinians’ daily life, living in an open-air concentration camp, under Zionist Israel occupation. They also talk about many Palestinians being tortured in Zionist Israel prisons, which has led to trauma and loss.

Zaya and Maurizio Benazzo discuss their documentary with Ussama Makdisi, Sherene Seikaly, and Nathan Thrall, mostly about the dehumanization and the ongoing Nakba in Palestine. I don’t think the documentary will be on Youtube yet. But I found a site that lists all the film screenings at different countries, all over the world.

Meanwhile, many American officials have resigned from their positions because of their sudden realization to the destruction and mass murder in Palestine reminding them of the Holocaust. Harrison Mann, a Jewish-American who worked in the military as a US Army Major, has now resigned from the Defense Intelligence Agency. Democracy Now interviews Harrison Mann about his recent resignation. It is obvious that Zionist Israel is performing a similar Holocaust to the Palestinians in an open-air concentration camp as did Nazi Germany to many Jews in concentration camps throughout Europe. After the end of the Nazi Holocaust in 1945 to rid the Jews from Europe, Zionists continued a second Holocaust, which started in 1948 to rid Palestinians from their own native land and steal native Palestinians’ land. And, finally, in 2024, people have finally woken up to the truth.

I think this huge awakening actually happened when Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old US Air Force serviceman video-recorded immolating himself in front of the Embassy of Israel gate in Washington DC on February 25, 2024. He had received notice that he needed to get ready to go to Zionist Israel to fight for Israel and kill Palestinians, and he didn’t want to be a part of the Zionist-occupied US Government’s plan. He had decided to make a statement on video, in an extreme way, to sacrifice himself for Palestinians’ right and freedom to exist on their own land in peace. As he burns in the video, he shouts “FREE PALESTINE” a couple of times until he falls to the ground. In the video, he urges many people to act against America’s complicit actions to aid Zionist Israel in genocide. The disturbing video was traumatizing to watch, which finally woke up many people, especially young people, to the truth. Two police officers tried to extinguish the fire and save Aaron while the third police officer pointed a gun on a burning man. He was rushed to the hospital in order to save him, but he eventually died in his hospital bed at around nine o’clock at night.

UC Irvine Encampment for Free Palestine: Peaceful Protest

On April 29th, I heard that UC Irvine students started their encampment protest for a Free Palestine. The next day, I took a stroll to the UCI campus to check it out. I walked around the circular-shaped encampment, surrounded by barriers covered by handmade posters. There were lots of chalk writings and drawings on the ground. I also noticed banners. I did a video of this very peaceful and quiet encampment. The students were mostly just hanging out together, reading, or playing card games.

On May 7th, during an evening walking meetup at the UCI campus, we walked by the encampment. I noticed it had grown with more tents, more people, and more chalk writings on the ground. But it was still very quiet and peaceful. I took some quick snapshots before I continued walking with the walking meetup. I later did a second video.

On May 15th, I had another UCI meetup at five o’clock in the afternoon. I walked outside at four, and I immediately noticed loud buzzing sounds from helicopters overhead. These helicopters looked big and intimidating, similar to military or police helicopters, and they appeared to be swarming over the UCI campus. I wondered what was going on. I continued to walk across the street to the UCI campus.

UCI Encampment to Free Palestine from Zionist Israel on 4.30.24

Before I went to the meetup room, I decided to check out the protest. As I neared the encampment, I noticed there were many students as well as protesters chanting in the background. I walk through the crowd and check out the destroyed Gaza Solidarity Encampment. It looked like a warzone, similar to the destroyed communities in Gaza.

I almost started looking under the rubble for students’ bodies hidden underneath or inside distorted tents. I wondered what happened because the protesters were very peaceful and quiet, at least every time I had walked by. I did a third video of the destruction. I also noticed many students were facing the parking lot while chanting because the parking lot was filled with police, ready for combat. It looked like Police State at a very peaceful and quiet campus to dismantle a peaceful protest to Free Palestine from Zionist Israel. It didn’t make sense.

Since it was almost five o’clock, I decided to go to the meetup building, where we watched a video about AI and discussed it, and it was interrupted with a warning for students to stay away from the vicinity of the protest area, like it was some big deal. After the meetup, we went out to dinner nearby. I noticed the weather was cool and cloudy during the evenings.

When I returned home at nine o’clock, I watched some Youtube videos about the UC Irvine encampment being dismantled by the police. Many news stations were there covering it—Fox11LA, NBCLA, KTLA5, and KCAL. The news stations noted that the students started occupying the Physical Science building by placing their tents near the building. They also stated that between 100 to 200 students had entered the building to occupy the inside. The door knobs from the outside were tied shut with strings and the area was barricaded with items.

UCI Encampment dismantled by OC Police State

After police had cleared the barricaded area and cut off the tied strings around the doorknobs, they entered to see an empty and clean auditorium with lights off. They went back to the protesting students. They told them to leave the area or they will be arrested. Few had left, but most stayed to make a statement about the situation in Palestine. I think they just wanted their voice to be heard on the news station in order to help Free Palestine from Zionist Israel’s occupation of over 75 years of terror, destruction, mass murder, and displacement of Palestinians in order to steal all of Palestine for the Greater Israel Project.

I have a feeling that someone sent out that message about 100 people occupying the inside of the Physical Science building to get media attention for the students’ cause in order to expose Zionist Israel as well as other complicit Zionist corporations and politicians supporting Israel’s continuous destruction and mass murders for the Zionist agenda. Many corporations continuously send weapons to Israel as well as the Biden Administration, AIPAC, CUFI, etc, continuously fund this genocide until Israel annihilates Palestine off the map. And, since UC Irvine is a very peaceful and quiet university, as well as town, it doesn’t get too much notice from the media, like the universities in the big cities that are always on the news for something crazy.  

Moreover, many professors, faculty members, and people from the community stayed at the encampment to get arrested in order to speak out on the news about the current situation in Palestine. Many students were prepared for anything from the police. They wore gas masks, covid masks, goggles, and scarf head covering. They just wanted their voice to be heard on the media in order to expose the media’s continuous lies for the Zionist agenda.

Farioli is known for his successes at Nice and is also in the picture at clubs such as AC Milan and Napoli, will he be the savior of the devastated football club?

Can Ajax once again set the tone in Europe with their dominant play?

Ajax Amsterdam is a name that almost everyone in the world knows. Especially if you mention the name of the Amsterdam football club in the same breath as that of Johan Cruijff (25-04-1947/24, 03-2016, the legendary number 14 who is still spoken of with great admiration in many countries.

For a long time, this man was known as the best footballer in the world, but he often had to share this title with Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Três Corações, 23 October 1940 – São Paulo, 29 December 2022) or Pele the wonder footballer from Brazil. These two footballers have made the hearts of many football fans beat faster.

Was Cruyff also a fantastic coach?

Cruijff, the Amsterdam boy from the Amsterdam district of Betondorp, where in his years football could still be played quietly on the streets. On the streets, it was mainly the boys who fell to pieces on the cobblestones. The busy city traffic is now the reason why there is no football on the streets anymore, otherwise there might have been girls playing football by now, don't you think?

Cruijff developed as a footballer at Ajax, FC Barcelona and Feijenoord, Ajax's big rival in Rotterdam, where he ended up after negotiations with Ajax about a new contract broke down. The footballer won almost everything there was to win at those three clubs, even when he later became coach of both Dutch clubs, he still strung the blessings together.

What would Cruyff think of the current affairs at Ajax?

Cruyff was a football legend with a clear vision, one of his legendary sayings was: "if you attack then you can score goals, to win you have to score one more than your opponent." We don't think that at this point in his current career, Farioli should even think about being in the shadow of Cruyff, but it is said that he is also an attacking coach.

People who have previously had the opportunity to work with Farioli at other teams, such as the Dutch youth trainer Fouad El Fidi, who recently worked with Farioli for two years at the Qatari Aspire Academy. What struck him most was that the man was tactically very strong. He argued that Farioli showed good attacking play from the back with a well-groomed defense with the teams he played with before.

Was Cruyff involved in the reconstruction of Ajax from his grave?

Cruijff passed away more than eight years ago after a long illness. In his last years, in which he suffered a lot from his health, he did build up the Johan Cruijff Academy in Amsterdam. This academy taught many young students everything about football and the theoretical aspects behind it. Ajax's newly formed football board currently includes two men who studied at this academy: Marijn Beuker (Director of Football) and Kelvin de Lang (Head Scout). So, you can see that Cruyff will probably continue to reign over his grave at Ajax.

What did Cruyff think about the organization?

Cruyff had a clear vision about leading a professional football club. The world-renowned player and coach believed that a club should be led by people who also knew the tricks of the trade, people who had been active in football before. People who thought and dreamed football. During his time during the "iconoclasm" at Ajax, he immediately attracted a few former players such as: Dennis Bergkamp, Wim Jonk and Van der Sar. He also involved the former right striker Tsjeu la Ling.

At the time, they formed the very high-performing beating heart of the Amsterdam football club.

Will Farioli once again let Ajax's incomparable football legs do the talking?

When we hear the old acquaintances of Farioli speak, it seems as if he still shows a slight resemblance to the old master from Amsterdam. Farioli also wants to show neat attacking play. He is willing to invest a lot in his players if they are willing to do so themselves. He is still very young, but has already shown and worked together a lot and learned from Roberto de Zerbi, the current successful coach of Brighton hove Albion in England

Mahatma Gandhi's political career was marked by numerous successes and failures, and pinpointing where it went wrong requires a nuanced analysis of his decisions, strategies, and the broader historical context. As far as I know, Mahatma Gandhi, renowned for his philosophy of nonviolent resistance, played a pivotal role in India's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. However, there were certain junctures in his political journey where his decisions and actions faced criticism or resulted in setbacks.

I agree to this that he had took many pointless decision like the one Hitler took while World War 2, but why? Was it for the sake of power or money?

Deep-routed caste system

One significant aspect of Gandhi's political career that drew criticism was his approach to caste and class issues within Indian society. I could say, it was one of the big mistakes had happened in the government of India. While Gandhi advocated for social justice and equality, his methods often fell short of addressing the deep-rooted caste system and socioeconomic disparities prevalent in India. Showing some mercy toward illiterates to take over the advantages of innocent souls? His emphasis on traditional Hindu values and his reluctance to challenge the entrenched caste hierarchy alienated many lower-caste and marginalized communities, who felt excluded from the mainstream nationalist movement. What was the point of being a secular which made a big riot over the night in the society of India which ultimately resulted in the partition of India into India and Pakistan?

Industrialization in the modern society

Another contentious issue was Gandhi's stance on industrialization and modernization. While he championed the cause of rural India and promoted self-sufficiency through cottage industries, his rejection of large-scale industrial development was seen as unrealistic and impractical by some of his contemporaries. This reluctance to embrace modernization hindered India's economic progress and contributed to the perpetuation of poverty in certain regions.

I would say, he is a culprit of whatever had happened that night, we have to agree and there is no other statement it can change my mind. Gandhi's role in the partition of India in 1947 also remains a subject of debate and criticism. While he advocated for Hindu-Muslim unity and opposed the partition, his efforts to bridge the communal divide proved insufficient in preventing the violent riots and mass migrations that accompanied the partition. Critics argue that Gandhi's idealism and insistence on nonviolent resistance were ill-suited to the escalating tensions between religious communities, ultimately leading to the tragic consequences of partition.

International relationship during his political career

Additionally, Gandhi's approach to international relations and diplomacy faced challenges during his political career. While he was revered as a moral leader and symbol of resistance worldwide, his uncompromising stance on certain issues, such as India's support for the Allied powers during World War II, strained relations with Britain and other colonial powers. Furthermore, his advocacy for pacifism and nonviolence in the face of aggression, such as during the Quit India Movement, was criticized for its perceived ineffectiveness in challenging colonial oppression.

Despite these criticisms and setbacks, it is essential to acknowledge Gandhi's enduring legacy as a visionary leader and advocate for peace, justice, and human rights. His philosophy of nonviolent resistance inspired countless movements for social change around the world and continues to influence political leaders and activists to this day. I am also a bing follower of his principles and mostly his crafted social sins that he think it is always right. While his political career may have faced challenges and shortcomings, however, other thing balanced naturally. Therefore, Gandhi's commitment to ahimsa (nonviolence) and satyagraha (truth-force) remains a beacon of hope for those striving for a more just and equitable world.

Once upon a time, India was a British colony. The British colonial authorities were concerned about the ubiquity of venomous snakes (cobras) in the country, especially in the city of Delhi. The British decided to offer a bounty for every dead snake the locals brought to the colonial office. The financial incentives to redeem dead snakes were a decision made with the hope that Delhi would, after some time, be snake-free.

Unintended Consequences: The Cobra Effect and the Art of Decision-Making

So the British thought! They were unaware that there were enterprising Indians who took advantage of this chance. Entrepreneurial Indians started breeding cobras on a massive scale to take advantage of this lucrative business venture. The cobra breeders would breed the cobras, and when they reached a certain length, they would kill them, take them to the British colonial office, and redeem them for money while continuing to breed some more. Before long, word got to the British, that entrepreneurial Indians were taking advantage of this and were breeding more and more cobras.

On hearing this, the British immediately ditched the incentive scheme. Needless to say, the snake breeders were angered by this move, because they were now sitting with lots of worthless snakes, which they had viewed as valuable stock in their business. In their anger, the snake breeders dumped their stock (cobras) onto the streets. The British were now sitting with a much worse problem than they had to begin with. They now had to battle the consequences of their decision.

Normally, a decision should improve a situation and not worsen it. In this case, the decision by the British to offer a bounty ended up worsening the situation. This has now become known in the field of psychology as the Cobra Effect. The Cobra Effect is a phenomenon that occurs when a decision intended to solve a problem, actually worsens it or creates an entirely new problem.

This brings into sharp focus the importance of making decisions after due consideration. Albert Einstein once remarked,

No problem can be solved with the same level of consciousness that created it.

To prove this point, the British colonial rulers made the first decision to offer a bounty. When they became aware of the negative consequences of their decision, they made a second decision to ditch the incentive scheme. 

Clearly demonstrating the fact that their level of consciousness was still the same. Because they created a much worse problem than they had to begin with. If you consider the above story, the very first decision to come up with a bounty for each dead snake was a decision arrived at, based on flawed thinking. Not even to mention the second decision to ditch the incentive scheme.

Although the Cobra Effect happened to the British, it has the potential to happen to anyone. In fact, it is happening, right now, to millions of people, organizations, and governments around the world, i.e., making a decision that either worsens a situation or creates a new problem. We forever make decisions that have the potential to boomerang and explode in our faces.  This is why it is crucial to have a process that assists in achieving better quality decisions.
